League recap: Persons breaks off league-leading run for Chaminade-Julienne

Antwan Persons of Chaminade-Julienne ran for the longest rushing play in Greater Catholic - North this season against Roger Bacon last week. Persons' team defeated the Spartans as he sprinted for 64 yards on the play and finished with 217 in all.

Archbishop Alter took down Purcell Marian 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Chaminade-Julienne's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Harrison threw for 46 yards and Will Keller had 28 yards receiving. Tyler Traylor helped Chaminade-Julienne's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.

Chaminade-Julienne's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Harrison has thrown for 439 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Wesley Lumpkin has 13 catches for 159 yards. Persons leads the league in rushing with 448 yards.

The Knights led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Cavaliers.
