Football Recap: Maloney Starts Season with Win Against Amity Regional + How To Watch

Maloney had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 27-14 win over Amity Regional on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Maloney's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Amity Regional is ranked 66th).

Despite the loss, Amity Regional still got an impressive performance from Cristian Luciano, who rushed for 156 yards and one TD. Luciano also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making five total tackles.

Maloney has already played their next contest, a 42-6 victory against East Hartford on the 19th. As for Amity Regional, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-14 win against Notre Dame on the 19th.
