Soccer Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

If Clay was feeling good fresh off their 6-3 takedown of Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern Warriors on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Clay couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Evan Rider, who's now up to three this season.

Clay's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Eastern, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Clay has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Whiteoak on the 28th. As for Eastern, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Fairfield on the 28th.
