Decatur hadn't done well against Chamblee recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Decatur sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Chamblee. The game was the first time Decatur has beaten Chamblee on their court since October 12, 2023.

Despite the defeat, Chamblee saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emmy Liang had five digs and two aces. Liang is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Decatur's record now sits at 15-13. As for Chamblee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-19.

Coming up, Decatur will head out to square off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chamblee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
