Softball Recap: Cornell Raiders vs. Carlynton Cougars
Cornell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 15-1 walloping at the hands of the Carlynton Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cornell of the 14-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2015.
Cornell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenna Griffith, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Cornell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carlynton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Cornell will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Union Area at 2:30 p.m. As for Carlynton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Northgate at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
