Baseball Game Preview: McMahon Senators vs. New Canaan Rams

McMahon hasn't had much luck against New Canaan recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Senators will venture away from home to challenge the Rams at 4:00 p.m. McMahon will be strutting in after a win while New Canaan will be coming in after a loss.

McMahon took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridgefield, sneaking past 7-6.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, New Canaan was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of Stamford by a score of 2-1.

New Canaan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Delicata, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

McMahon's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for New Canaan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

McMahon came up short against New Canaan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 8-3. Can the Senators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
