Volleyball Recap: Joel Barlow Takes a Loss

Joel Barlow lost against Greenwich back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Cardinals. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joel Barlow started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Greenwich found their leader in sophomore Bailee Dayon, who had 14 digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Dayon.

Joel Barlow's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Greenwich, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Joel Barlow didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Pomperaug on the 15th. As for Greenwich, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Ludlowe on the 16th.
