Volleyball Game Preview: Buckeye Hawks vs. Desert Edge Scorpions

The Buckeye Hawks will face off against the Desert Edge Scorpions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Buckeye was able to grind out a solid victory over Washington, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 21-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Desert Edge entered their tilt with Independence on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Scorpions have posted since March 28, 2024.

Desert Edge was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 22-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Desert Edge's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Buckeye, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Buckeye skirted past Desert Edge 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
