Football Recap: Christ School Greenies vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles
After flying high against East Burke last Friday, Christ School came back down to earth. The Christ School Greenies had to suffer through a 61-6 loss at the hands of the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles. The Greenies haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Gavin Owens went supernova for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, throwing for 192 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 63 yards on only six carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Joshua Buckhalter, who picked up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Christ School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Christ School will venture away from home to take on A.C. Flora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they are on the road again on Friday to play John Curtis Christian at 4:00 p.m.
