Basketball Recap: Sammy Duran's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Madill over Ada

After flying high against Marietta on Friday, Madill came back down to earth. The Madill Wildcats took a 67-48 bruising from the Ada Cougars on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Madill lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sammy Duran, who posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Ryan Anderson, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 20 points.

Miilan Riley had an outrageously good game for Ada as he dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Brock Boyles was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Madill's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Ada, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.

Madill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-33 defeat against Plainview on the 11th. As for Ada, they have also already played their next match, a 67-55 loss against Tuttle on the 11th.
