Softball Recap: East Boston Has No Trouble Against Boston English

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fontbonne Academy, East Boston was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 18-11 margin over the Boston English Eagles. The match marked the Jets' most dominant win of the season.

East Boston let Jordynn Copeland and Devani Taylor run wild. Copeland went 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI, while Taylor went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. With that strong performance, Taylor is now averaging an impressive 2.3 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Ashly Baquedano, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

East Boston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

East Boston's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Boston English, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
