Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Ridge Jaguars vs. Higley Knights + Official Tickets

The Desert Ridge Jaguars will face off against the Higley Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Desert Ridge came up short against Williams Field and fell 3-1. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Black Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Higley not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Queen Creek. The Knights have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Desert Ridge better focus on containing Addison Thompson and Hayden Sherrill as the pair were huge in Higley's win. Thompson had 13 digs and one assist, while Sherrill had 15 assists and four digs. Thompson has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Higley's win bumped their record up to 15-10-3. As for Desert Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.

Desert Ridge skirted past Higley 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Thompson, who had 31 digs and two aces.
