Softball Recap: Secaucus Takes a Loss

Secaucus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Rutherford Bulldogs, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Secaucus' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Rutherford, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season.

Secaucus wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-5 defeat against Lyndhurst on the 19th. As for Rutherford, they have also already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Hawthorne on the 17th.
