Soccer Game Preview: Southwind vs. White Station

The Southwind Jaguars will square off against the White Station Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwind's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Southwind took on Whitehaven on Monday. The Jaguars came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous seven contests, White Station brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their defense stepped up to hand Douglass a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for White Station's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

White Station's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6-1. As for Southwind, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Southwind couldn't quite get it done against White Station in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
