Softball Preview: Alisal Trojans vs. North Monterey County Condors
For the second straight game, Alisal will face off against North Monterey County. The Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Condors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alisal has seven straight wins, North Monterey County has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Alisal is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let North Monterey County get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Micah Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base.
In other batting news, Carmelina Esquiviez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Aaliyah Ruiz was another key player, scoring four runs while going 4-for-4.
