Baseball Recap: Arbor View Takes a Loss

Arbor View and Basic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Arbor View had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 5-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Aggies in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost seven in a row.

Arbor View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kash Wieger, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Wieger has launched this season.

Arbor View's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Basic, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Arbor View has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Bishop Gorman on the 7th. As for Basic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Centennial on the 7th.
