Liberty was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Routt Catholic on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 25-1 victory. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ava Heming was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heming was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Andi Mixer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Fessler, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seymour, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Liberty skirted past Seymour 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
