Volleyball Game Preview: St. Charles East Fighting Saints vs. Hinsdale South Hornets

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will face off against the Hinsdale South Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Charles East will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

St. Charles East will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Glenbard South, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Fighting Saints came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Charles East was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale South earned a 2-0 victory over Oswego East on Monday.

While Hinsdale South won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

St. Charles East's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Hinsdale South, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

St. Charles East couldn't quite get it done against Hinsdale South when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0.
