Soccer Game Preview: San Gorgonio vs. Kaiser

The San Gorgonio Spartans will take on the Kaiser Cats at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.

San Gorgonio is headed into Thursday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since December 29. They and Bloomington finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kaiser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Arroyo Valley, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Kaiser can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1035th, while Arroyo Valley are ranked 371st).

With that draw, San Gorgonio's record moves to 7-6-8. As for Kaiser, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12-1.

Everything went San Gorgonio's way against Kaiser when the teams last played back in January of 2025, as San Gorgonio made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Cats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
