Recap: Patriot Pioneers vs. Battlefield Bobcats
The Patriot Pioneers lost against the Battlefield Bobcats on January 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Patriot fell just short of Battlefield by a score of 46-44. Patriot has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Patriot lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cheyenne Sweeney, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sweeney has scored all season. Crystal Wright was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Patriot has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Battlefield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Patriot will head out on the road to square off against Unity Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battlefield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
