Baseball Recap: Miles Drops Highest Score of Season Against Sonora

Miles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2024. Everything went their way against the Sonora Broncos as Miles made off with a 15-5 win. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

COOPER ELLISON was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of TANNER BENNETT, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Miles always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sonora only posted an OBP of .360.

Miles' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Sonora, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Miles will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Christoval at 4:00 p.m. on April 4. As for Sonora, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Colorado at 5:00 p.m. Colorado has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.09 runs per game on average), something Sonora will no doubt try to take advantage of.
