Basketball Recap: Mifflin Comes Up Short

Mifflin played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Bishop Hartley Hawks 69-8. The Punchers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-5.

Bishop Hartley found their leader in sophomore Naomie 'Pinky' Burnett, who posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Ward, who put up nine points.

Mifflin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Bishop Hartley, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Mifflin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Hartley, they will welcome Bexley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
