Softball Game Preview: Boone Braves vs. Winter Park Wildcats

The Boone Braves will head out to take on the Winter Park Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Boone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Boone easily dispatched Winter Park on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Braves fell just short of Horizon by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The Braves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Paige Barry was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Winter Park came up short against Innovation on Monday and fell 11-6. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carrie Dulgar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Scanlon, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Boone's record is now 10-8. As for Winter Park, their record now sits at 7-12.

Everything went Boone's way against Winter Park when the teams last played on Friday, as Boone made off with a 9-2 victory. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
