Basketball Recap: Chariho Comes Up Short

Chariho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 73-51 to the Middletown Islanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 61-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Chariho's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Middletown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Chariho does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middletown, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tiverton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Middletown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
