Basketball Recap: Berkmar Victorious

There's no place like home for Berkmar, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 62-61 photo finish over the North Gwinnett Bulldogs on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Berkmar's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for North Gwinnett, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Berkmar and North Gwinnett could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Berkmar will face off against Hazel Green at 2:30 p.m. on Monday down 151 places (187 vs. 36). Similarly, North Gwinnett (ranked 251st) will meet Lanier (ranked 119th) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
