Volleyball Recap: Minarets Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Minarets and Caruthers, and Minarets kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs came out on top against the Blue Raiders by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Blue Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Minarets had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 25-18, 25-16.

Minarets pushed their record up to 15-16-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Caruthers, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-15.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Minarets is set to take on their familiar foe Fowler at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Caruthers will face off against rival Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
