Basketball Recap: Hadassah Brown Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

While Waukegan didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 62-44 victory over the Regina Dominican Panthers on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Waukegan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hadassah Brown out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Brown has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Evelyn Petty was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points.

Waukegan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Regina Dominican only pulled down four offensive rebounds.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Judy Fabianski, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Fabianski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian DeFranza, who put up 12 points.

Waukegan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Regina Dominican, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Waukegan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-42 victory against Leyden on the 27th. As for Regina Dominican, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-16 win against Payton College Prep on the 27th.
