Damascus is 8-2 against Poolesville since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Damascus Hornets will square off against the Poolesville Falcons. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, everything went Damascus' way against Clarksburg as Damascus made off with a 58-38 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Poolesville suffered their closest loss since January 25th on Friday. They fell just short of New Hope Academy Regional by a score of 60-57. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Tigers are ranked 33rd).

Poolesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Damascus, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Damascus came up short against Poolesville in their previous meeting back in February, falling 53-40. Can Damascus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
