Basketball Recap: Kaleb Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Trinity Christian Academy over Harding Academy

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trinity Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harding Academy on Saturday. Trinity Christian Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Harding Academy earlier this season, when they won 66-40.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleb Williams, who went 8-for-15 en route to 20 points. The matchup was Williams' third in a row with at least 15 points. Brayden Waller was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven rebounds.

Chazaiah Curry was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards for Harding Academy. Curry is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Fred Martin, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 20 points.

Trinity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Harding Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Trinity Christian Academy will welcome Boyd-Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harding Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
