Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Newburgh Free Academy walked away with it. They walked away with a 51-40 win over the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Goldbacks as they're now sitting on six straight.

Monroe-Woodbury's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamie Reich, who posted 14 points. Kristopher Bjaelker was another key player, putting up four points.

Newburgh Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Monroe-Woodbury, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

As of now, neither Newburgh Free Academy nor Monroe-Woodbury have any future games scheduled.
