Baseball Game Preview: Mount Calvary Christian Chargers vs. Shalom Christian Academy Flames

The Mount Calvary Christian Chargers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Shalom Christian Academy Flames at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mount Calvary Christian is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of West Shore Christian Academy by a score of 7-6 last Friday.

Jonathan Hubler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Shalom Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past Cumberland Valley Christian 18-8.

Drake Wenger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wenger was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Will Turner was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Ethan Brechbill was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
