Football Recap: Grand Valley Cardinals vs. Meeker Cowboys

Grand Valley lost against Meeker back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grand Valley Cardinals had to suffer through a 53-6 loss at the hands of the Meeker Cowboys. The Cardinals have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Andrew Horner rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown. Jaysen Skeen was his top target, rushing for 47 yards, while also picking up 47 receiving yards. On the ground, Gabriel Mendoza made 11 total tackles.

It was another big night for Clay Crawford, who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns for Meeker. Crawford's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Blunt, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Grand Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Meeker, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
