Baseball Recap: Tinley Park Has No Trouble Against Blue Island Eisenhower

Tinley Park had won three straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 12-8 to make it four. Everything went their way against the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals as they made off with a 13-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Austin Brazitis looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Hullinger was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Lukas Quiroz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Tinley Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.

As for Blue Island Eisenhower, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

On Blue Island Eisenhower's side, Adriel Castro was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. The Cardinals are 5-2 when Castro posts two or more runs, but 2-9 otherwise.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tinley Park will square off against Leo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, they will take on Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Blazing Trojan have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
