Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Beavers vs. Washougal Panthers

Woodland and Washougal are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Woodland Beavers will take on the Washougal Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Woodland came up short against Hockinson and fell 62-55. Even if the Beavers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Washougal can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Hudson's Bay with a sharp 62-38 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since February 5, 2024.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Washougal, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Woodland came up short against Washougal in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 57-47. Can Woodland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
