Basketball Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss

Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Americas Trail Blazers, falling 63-10. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1290th, while the Trail Blazers are ranked 78th).

Priscilla Rodriguez was Horizon's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Americas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Horizon will host Bel Air at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Americas, they will head out on the road to take on Parkland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Americas is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
