Basketball Recap: Rivers of Life Christian Takes a Loss

Rivers of Life Christian lost against Mississippi Valley Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rivers of Life Christian Eagles had to suffer through a 69-40 loss at the hands of the Mississippi Valley Christian Warriors. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rivers of Life Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tayden Carter, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Carter a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dane Perry, who earned ten points.

Leading Mississippi Valley Christian to victory were Caden Snyder and Jentzen Felt. Snyder put up 24 points, while Felt scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Martin, who had eight points.

Rivers of Life Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mississippi Valley Christian, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rivers of Life Christian will face off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mississippi Valley Christian, they will square off against Liberty Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
