They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newcomerstown Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-18 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Tuscarawas Central Catholic lost, don't look at Nora Jackson. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Julia Sciarretti was another key player, putting up seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Newcomerstown, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
