Football Recap: Escambia Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Escambia Academy blew Macon-East Montgomery Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Macon-East Montgomery Academy got their revenge. The Cougars fell just short of the Knights by a score of 28-26. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy found their leader in sophomore Brandon Fitch, who threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Fitch didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended two passes. Conner Wallace was another key player, picking up 67 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Escambia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

As of now, neither Escambia Academy nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
