Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Chapel vs. Ocean View

The Calvary Chapel Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Ocean View Seahawks at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Chapel's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Calvary Chapel's offense. They came up short against Costa Mesa on Wednesday, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Calvary Chapel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1131st, while Costa Mesa are ranked 563rd).

Meanwhile, Ocean View lost 7-1 to Kennedy on Wednesday. Ocean View have struggled against Kennedy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Ocean View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-3. As for Calvary Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Calvary Chapel might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Ocean View in their previous meeting back in January of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
