Baseball Recap: Tolleson Find Success

Tolleson had won three straight on the road, but on Thursday they bumped up to 9-8 to make it four. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Sunnyslope Vikings 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolverines have posted since February 28th.

JOSE CORRALES was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

As for Sunnyslope, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly two runs.

On Sunnyslope's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Grove, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Looking ahead, Tolleson will host Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunnyslope, they will head out on the road to square off against Corona del Sol at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season.
