Soccer Game Preview: Venus vs. Kennedale

Venus hasn't had much luck against Kennedale recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Venus Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Kennedale Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Venus has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Venus is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Life Waxahachie, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 715th, while the Mustangs are ranked 105th).

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Kennedale was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Godley.

Venus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Kennedale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Venus came up short against Kennedale in their previous meeting back in February, falling 2-0. Can Venus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
