Soccer Recap: McGavock Comes Up Short

McGavock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Hume-Fogg Blue Knights. While losing is never fun, McGavock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Hume-Fogg are ranked 13th).

McGavock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hume-Fogg, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, McGavock will be playing in front of their home fans against Glencliff at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Hume-Fogg, they will head out to challenge Independence Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
