Softball Recap: Archie Williams Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Archie Williams walked away with it. They skirted past the College Park Falcons 3-2.

Paige Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Archie Williams' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Parker Conrad, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another was Kennedy Dunsing, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Archie Williams' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for College Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12-1.

Looking ahead, Archie Williams will face off against Carondelet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. College Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
