Basketball Game Preview: Damascus Christian Eagles vs. Southwest Christian Wildcats

Damascus Christian is 9-1 against Southwest Christian since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Damascus Christian Eagles will head out to challenge the Southwest Christian Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Damascus Christian turned things around against Trinity Academy on Tuesday. They snuck past Trinity Academy with a 51-45 victory.

Meanwhile, Southwest Christian had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They strolled past Portland Waldorf with points to spare, taking the game 49-30.

Damascus Christian's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Southwest Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Damascus Christian came up short against Southwest Christian in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 49-38. Can Damascus Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
