Volleyball Recap: Central Dauphin East Takes a Loss

Central Dauphin East lost against Cumberland Valley on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 17th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-9.

Hayden Ackley had an outrageously good game for Cumberland Valley as he had 26 digs and four assists. Ackley has been hot recently, having posted 24 or more digs the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kai Dunwoody, who had 14 assists and four digs.

Central Dauphin East dropped their record down to 10-16-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Cumberland Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Central Dauphin East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Trinity on the 28th. As for Cumberland Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Northeastern on the 28th.
