Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conard). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northwest Catholic Lions a 26-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Red Wolves in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

Conard's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Northwest Catholic, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Conard is set to face off against their familiar foe Farmington at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Red Wolves have lost three straight at home , while the River Hawks have lost three on the road. Meanwhile, Northwest Catholic will challenge rival Bristol Eastern at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
