Basketball Recap: Shreveport HomeSchool Sports Takes a Loss

Shreveport HomeSchool Sports was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 64-57 to the Cornerstone Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 49-45 loss back in December of 2024.

Leading Cornerstone Christian Academy to victory were Ryston McNaughton and Kaden McNaughton. Ryston almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Kaden dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Those nine rebounds gave Ryston a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Broadway, who posted seven points and three steals.

Shreveport HomeSchool Sports' defeat dropped their record down to 25-15. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Looking ahead, Shreveport HomeSchool Sports will take on Tournament Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
