Basketball Recap: Cactus Shadows Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cactus Shadows, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-52 victory over the Mesquite Wildcats on Friday. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 68-63 loss the last time these two teams met.

Marcus Ward and Braden Miller certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ward posted 17 points, while Miller went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Kobe Bradley, who put up seven points.

Cactus Shadows has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Mesquite, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Cactus Shadows will face off against Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cactus Shadows is facing Arcadia at the right time seeing as Arcadia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mesquite, they will square off against Saguaro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saguaro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
