Volleyball Recap: Jacobs Comes Up Short

Jacobs's tournament run continued when they took on Aurora Central Catholic on Saturday. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1.

Maddie Mitchell paced Jacobs' offense, picking up eight kills. Mitchell got some help from Gianna Coletti and her 20 assists. Coletti also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hailie Barton, each putting up three.

Jacobs' loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Jacobs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Sherrard on the 27th. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ridgewood on the 27th.
