Basketball Recap: Southland College Prep Wins Going Away Against Morris

Southland College Prep had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Morris 54-34 on Monday.

Southland College Prep found their leader in sophomore Tristan Garner, who posted 19 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Davian Brown, who had eight points.

Coming up, Southland College Prep and Coal City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Morris, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gardner-South Wilmington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
